Agility Training:

Agility training is best when done with an agility ladder, it is a great off-season training method for basketball players. Proper training will improve your overall quickness on your feet. This will  help you become more of a threat offensively as well as a better defender. I would suggest utilizing the agility ladder three to four-times a week. That is what I personally do, but everyone has their own limits so it is important to not push yourself too far. If you are a beginner maybe should start using the ladder no more than twice a week, then increasing the days as your body gets accustomed to it and training becomes easier. Agility ladders are affordable, and a good investment if you are serious about your training. They can be found at almost any athletic retail store, or at http://www.eastbay.com.
